Whistler Winter Activities

Hello Blackcomb Peaks Friends! So much has happened in the past few of weeks in Whistler!

Early November was very busy in particular, as everyone was trying to take advantage of the early purchase savings for Whistler Blackcomb lift tickets before the cut off date of Nov 15th. But not to worry, you can still save a lot by booking lift tickets directly with us, rather than by purchasing your passes at the ticket window. Just give us a shout to find out about deals!

Also, Whistler Mountain opened one week early because the snowfall has been very generous – we have 76 cm base already! Check the Whistler snow report to stay up to date on snow totals. Quite a lot of Whistler enthusiasts did not hesitate to hit the hill first thing in the morning on opening day, and the amount of cars in the parking lots clearly indicated a lot of new arrivals over the first weekend of skiing.

New Blackcomb Peaks Units

We have added a few new units to our portfolio at Fitzsimons Walk, Whistler on the Lake, Whistler Town Plaza and soon at Painted Cliff and the Aspens Lodge too. That is really good news because we are almost fully booked for the holiday season and therefore, can offer these fresh additions!

Whistler Parking Update

Speaking of Whistler parking, there have been a few changes to the rules. The new story is that free parking applies for Whistler Day Lots # 4-5 and rates apply to Lots #1-3 as shown below. What is important to know is that overnight parking at Whistler is NOT allowed between Nov 1st and March 31st for snow clearing and maintenance & that free parking at lots 4 & 5 is allowed for a maximum of 72 hours. More info on Whistler Parking.

Aspens Updates

For our Aspens Lodge guests, we are happy to confirm that the remodel has been going really well and the results are very fresh & chic looking. Basically, the corridors on all floors have been upgraded with new wall paper, carpets, lighting and number signs, which is something we appreciate especially! Why? Well, the unit numbers used to be difficult to see, making you feel like a detective when searching for your condominium!

Now, the signs are super visible and the stone framing around the door makes them stand out even more. Yeeeeeeeeee. The three hot tubs and pool have also been refreshed and checked on for all of you!

Medals Plaza Ice Skating

The Medals Plaza at the Village Centre is also getting ready and those who love ice skating will enjoy the ice ring for sure. There are cozy outdoor seats and benches all around the plaza, which is perfect for those who want to people, kids or mountain – watch while drinking something nice from nearby Starbucks, Coffee Blenz or the Pure Bread Bakery.
