I finally went to the Whistler Farmer’s Market for the first time this year and couldn’t believe how much it’s grown! The Market spans the Upper Village from Merlins all the way to the end of the stroll in front of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. It truly offers something for everyone and is so much fun to take a stroll through.
You can find fresh produce grown by local farmers, arts and crafts by crafty artisans, fresh baked yummies, hand-made clothing, beautiful jewellery, the always popular gelato, snow cones, and the famous kettle corn. This year, with the new liquor laws, you can even sample locally distilled spirits. Musicians and face painting for the kids help to complete the festive fair-like vibe of the Whistler Farmer's Market.
If you want to experience this fun Sunday activity for yourself, you better hurry - there are only 2 more left before another Market season ends on Canadian Thanksgiving Sunday – October 12. Or keep it in mind for your summer visit next year, and make sure you're here on a Sunday!
The Market typically runs from mid-June to mid-October and is open on Sundays from 11am til 4pm. It is conveniently located just below the beautiful Aspens, so it's a short walk from many of our condos to the Market.
And don't forget - Whistler Blackcomb opens November 27, and Thanksgiving weekend is booking up fast at Blackcomb Peaks. Get online and reserve your holiday stay at one of our fantastic condominiums. Off-season prices are still in effect for the Thanksgiving weekend!
