While most people think of Whistler for winter charm incredible skiing and snowboarding, summer is a fantastic time to visit as well! Whistler is jam-packed in the summer with activities the entire family can enjoy. Check out a few of our favorites and start packing your bags for summer in Whistler.

Get In the Zone

Open from June 15 through Sept. 2 at the base of Blackcomb Mountain (Whistler Upper Village), the Family Adventure Zone offers fun-filled activities for the young and the young-at-heart! The Adventure Zone features the STACYC (Stability Cycle for kids 13 and under) Pump Track, mini-golf, a ropes course, bouncy castle, human gyroscope, bungee trampolines, climbing wall, and a water rollerz course. There is so much fun to be had! 

Celebrate Canada Day in Whistler

What better place than Whistler to celebrate Canada Day? The national holiday, which falls on July 1 every year, recognizes the passing of the Constitution Act of 1867 that united three colonies into a single nation. Dress in red and white for the parade Whistler Canada Dayat noon on July 1, followed by street entertainment until 6 p.m. Listen to live classical music in Olympic Plaza. The Village Stroll is full of color and spectacular entertainment for the celebration. This is such a fun day to be in Whistler!

Take Off On Two Wheels

Whether you’re a shredder on a mountain bike or prefer a leisurely tour ride, Whistler is one of the best places in the world for biking. The world-famous Whistler Bike Park draws mountain bikers of all skill levels with four mountain zones and everything from green trails to super technical double-blacks and more. There’s even lift access available from Whistler Village and the Whistler Creekside Gondola. The park typically opens mid-May for the summer season. Skilled riding instructors are available for private and group lessons (for riders of all abilities), which is a good idea if you haven't ridden the Whistler Bike Park before

Prefer more of a gentle cruise? Bike the paved Valley Trail to Green Lake. It takes between 30 minutes to an hour and a half, and is a beautiful ride from Whistler’s Upper Village. Or, hit one of the multiple trails around Lost Lake, which is also a favorite place to swim in the summer.

Enjoy a High-Wire Adventure

Whistler Zipline Tours provide a bird’s eye-view, taking the adventurous over some of our most scenic areas. There’s a range of tours to choose from, including Twilight tours, multiple line tours and the Sasquatch Tour along the longest zipline in Canada and the United States! Whistler Crankworx
