The Invictus Games are coming to Vancouver and Whistler February 8-16, 2025, and we couldn't be more excited to host this incredible 9-day long event!
The Whistler Invictus Games is an inspiring international sporting event that brings together wounded, injured, and ill service members and veterans from across the world. The games, founded in 2014 by Prince Harry, use the power of sport to help support physical, psychological, and social recovery for participants. This year, set against the stunning backdrop of Whistler, British Columbia, will be the first year the Invictus Games include winter sports. Cheer on over 500 competitors a unique platform for participants to showcase their abilities, determination, and perseverance.
Taking place in the world-renowned Whistler resort, the event includes a variety of adaptive sports such as:
- Wheelchair basketball
- sitting volleyball
- archery
- indoor rowing.
The Winter Games also feature alpine skiing, snowboarding, curling, and other winter sports, making Whistler the ideal location with its top-notch facilities and breathtaking mountain terrain.
Beyond the competition, the Whistler Invictus Games offer an opportunity for spectators and supporters to honor the sacrifices made by service members and to be inspired by their journeys to recovery and success.
Opening and Closing Ceremonies
There will also be incredible family-friendly opening and closing ceremonies that spectators can attend. The Opening Ceremony will kick off the Games with an energizing showcase of recording artists and 500+ performers honoring the competitors’ inspiring journey of recovery through the power of sport. Special performances by GRAMMY-Award Nominated, Multi-Platinum Artist Noah Kahan, Canadian icon Nelly Furtado, and Quebec sensation Roxane Bruneau, with more performances and special appearances to be announced!
