IPAs, Pale Ales, Wheat Ales, Lagers, Pilsner, Stout and Porter – if this list is making your mouth water, then you need to be in Whistler this coming weekend for the Whistler Village Beer Festival! Much larger than the inaugural Whistler Beer Fest in 2013, this year’s event will be spread out over 4 days, featuring 62 breweries offering 200+ different beers, with over 4,000 attendees enjoying the delicious quaff.
Starting on Thursday, Sept 4, events include Beer and Food pairing dinners, Cask Showdowns, After parties, Industry night, Best-in-Fest Awards and of course the main event – the Whistler Village Beer Fest itself, featuring beers from Canada, the US and around the globe. If you’re hard core, you can even attend hangover parties on the Sunday after the Beer Fest.
If you’re still thirsty after all that or just want to take home some delicious beer, stop in at the Whistler Brewing Company. Located in Function Junction on the way out of town, they offer delicious beer, tours, tastings, food and cold take-away beer.
Whistler Brewing Company is just one of the great micro beer breweries that will be featured at this year’s Whistler Village Beer Fest.
